Tourist visas are suitable for short-term stay in a country for a period of up to 30 days or less. Most of the time it is a period of pleasure, sight seeing and visiting friends and relatives. If your international passport does not exempt you for visa application to the country(ies) you are visiting, please look through some of the reasons to apply for a tourist visa and the possible requirements.
Tourist Visa is appropriate for:
- Tourism
- Visiting friends and relatives
- Medical care
- Participation in conventions, conferences, or convocations of fraternal or social organizations
- Participation in musical, sports and similar events.
Requirements
- Completed visa application form
- A valid international traveling passport
- Two recent passport-size photographs
- A cover letter explaining in details what your activities will be during your visit and how long you will be staying for.
- Other applicable issued documents such as Form B-1
- Evidence of financial expenditure during your visit that shows you have sufficient funds to cover the expenses of the visit and return ticket.
- Round trip airplane ticket
- Proof of ties to your home or foreign country. This is necessary to demonstrate to the consular officer that you will return back to your home country
- Your trip will be for a definite temporary period, and that you will return upon the conclusion of your visit.
- Police clearance or recent certified criminal check, issued by the police authorities of the place where you reside (if necessary)
- Medical and physical examination report by an authorized physician (if necessary)
- Medical Insurance (if necessary)
- Contact information of person receiving you at the airport (if necessary)
- Visa application fees payable by certified check, bank draft or international money order.
