The student exchange program give students and young people in different countries the opportunity to be acquainted with the culture of other countries while working to earn an income during summer holidays or time off school. One of the basic programs that we offer is the Work and Travel in the United States, which allows you to earn more than $5,000.00 USD within a couple of months. The reason why the United State government supports this program is that it allows foreign students to be acquainted with life in the United States and give them the opportunity to legally work during their vacation from school while contributing to its economic development. Rovest invites you to take part in this program, which is carried out through various companies in the United States. Students are offered employment opportunities in resort cities with companies in the service business such as hotels, restaurants, shops, parks, recreational, entertainment centers and so on. Practically, employers have the opportunity to accept and train college or high school graduate in positions such as customer service, attendants and cleaners from a period of six (6) to twelve (12) months. There are many opportunities available for students who are interested in this program. We encourage you to participate so that you can gain valuable experience working and meeting new people in other countries. The Requirement One of the significant requirements to participate in the Work and Travel program is a good knowledge of the English language. You will be interviewed and tested to check your English language abilities. Other requirements are:
- You must be between the ages of 18 to 28
- You must have graduated from college or high school at the time of your application
- You must be available to participate from middle of May until August.
Space availability is limited so the sooner you apply the better your chances for selection. The company employer can interview students over the phone or through their representatives. All participants of the program receive medical insurance and full support including emergency help from any of our partners in the United States. Wages You can earn an average wage of $6 to $8 USD per hour starting from May/June of each year. The minimum is $5.75 USD per hour. Within four (4) months, you will be able to pay back the cost of entering the program and save a substantial amount of money when you eventually return to your home country.
You will be able to work 40 hours per week and even secure two jobs with over-time hours from the employer. On an average, the monthly income for 60-70 business hours per week makes about $1,500.00 to $1,600.00 USD Cost of Participation/Basic Training Booking The date and time of booking determines and how much it will cost for you to enter the program:
- Booking till December 1st US$ 1,600.00
- Booking till January 1st US$ 1,700.00
- Booking till February 1st US$ 1,800.00
- Booking till March 1st US$ 1,900.00
- Booking after March 1st US$ 1,950.00
The cost of the program covers:
- Selection of a workplace or employer
- Visa support
- Medical Insurance
- Services of the executor
- Information service support during the program including a meeting at the airport upon your arrival
Be rest assured that you will pick up habitation before your arrival in the United States
