To apply for work-study program, you will need a professional resume drawn up. We have provided some helpful instructions on how to create a suitable resume. Note that you can create your own style and format as long as it follows the American Standard requirements. There are various books on job-hunting skills that will show you how to design a professional resume based on this format. If you are unsure of how to proceed, please visit your local library or the employment center in your country and request for information on how to do one.

  • The resume should have a maximum of three pages (the lesser the better).
  • The American standard format require the following parameters pages of size paper: Letter: fields: top - 2,03cm, bottom - 2,29cm, left - 2,54cm, right - 2,03cm.
  • Number pages, but no page number on the first.
  • Align text on right and left edges during formatting.
  • When giving the resume a file name, the words should be in your last name. (For example: simon.doc etc.).
  • In the Work History section, specify the data in the standard order from the present to the first, marking the following points on everyone: Date - Division - Position - Company - City - Country (the street, number of a house etc.) The address is not compulsory. Date in the American variant is underlined as follows: Month, Date, and Year.
  • The starting and ending date of employment must be in the beginning of a line instead of the end.
  • In the section on Education, specify your Major of study and Minor - as additional specialization.
  • If the Bureau on employment represents you, it is not necessary to specify your home address, phone, fax or email, but if you are applying directly to the potential employer then these information are necessary.
  • According to tradition, in any documents the name, then a surname is written all over again. These data completely should coincide with the spelling on your passport.
  • It is not necessary to write words such as Name, Phone, E-mail, CV, Resume etc in capital letters.
  • Brightly and unequivocally design the most important areas of your professional experience. The descriptive part of your official duties and professional experience should have enough details.
  • It is necessary to state your professional experience in the following areas:
    • UNIX, C++, TCP/IP
    • Windows 2000/NT., C/Visual C++/MFC (ODBC,OLE, DLLS)
    • ORACLE 7/8, Designer 2000 and Developer 2000, SQL, DBA
    • DB II-DBA
    • SyBase/Informix-DBA
    • JAVA, Web-server, HTML, Internet/Intranet, Lotus/Domino
    • PowerBuilder 5.0/6.0
    • Visual Basic 5.0/6.0
Also, provide necessary information on other programs that you have studied or have been involve in. It will help greatly in making your application a success
